ABOUT ME
Beginnings
A first generation New Yorker born to two Jamaican immigrants, my childhood was spent in Rosedale Queens, and my summers spent in Westmoreland, Jamaica.
Hobbies
I find it important to keep my mind and body strong and healthy. I also find an outlet in being creative. I knit, sew, crochet, shuttle tat, and weave. My mother taught me to embroider and crochet when I was in second grade and my interest and love of fiber arts and needle crafts took off from there. I love exploring new crafts and my desire to acquire new skills is everlasting.
In addition to my creative endeavors I enjoy anything that will get me to move my body. I’ve dabbled in pole dance, surfing, unicycling, roller skating, salsa dancing to name a few, and I don’t intend on stopping there.
Mission
I live my life with the refusal to regret. I never want to look back and wonder - “What if?”
Every day is a chance to learn something new and I take that challenge seriously. Anything I’ve ever felt fear doing I have chosen to jump right in. My fear of public speaking, became standing on stage performing The Little Coochie Snorcher that Could in a school production of The Vagina Monologues.
I look at fear and nervousness as a sign that something is worth doing.
